There are certain days that remain in your heart forever — the days with energy, laughter, nervousness, and joy of performing. My day of Giddha performance at Lovely Professional University was just one such unforgettable day.
Early morning saw us begin the day with our rehearsal. The campus was not awake yet, but the practice hall was already filled with the rhythm of the dhol and the giggles of my team members. We corrected our steps again and again, having each clap, twirl, and step synchronized perfectly. Despite fatigue, the thrill of dancing for One India kept us bubbling with energy.
Backstage was complete pandemonium and joy! Everyone was scrambling to get ready — ironing out phulkari dupattas, repairing jhumkas, and assisting each other with make-up. One was tweaking the dholki beat, another was checking the music system, and some of us were still rehearsing the last few steps backstage. There was a lovely blend of butterflies and joy in the atmosphere.
When the time actually arrived to walk onto stage, all fatigue was gone. The applause of the audience provided us with a new surge of energy. Performing in front of such an energetic crowd, portraying our culture, and expressing our happiness through Giddha was priceless.

And at the end of the day, sitting with my crew, exhausted but smiling, I knew — it's not about performing on stage. It's about the friendships, the backstage craziness, the feelings, and the memories that make the performance extraordinary. ????
