A Day in the Life: From Morning Lecture to Evening Buzz at Lovely Professional University

Life at Lovely Professional University (LPU) is always busy and exciting! It's all about learning through doing, where every day helps you grow and make amazing memories.

πŸŒ… Morning: Classes and Quick Walks

The day at LPU starts early! If you live in the hostel, the first job is to get up and get breakfast.
  • Hostel & Food: The hostel rooms are clean and safe. Students meet in the dining halls for a good breakfast before class.

  • Going to Class: The campus is huge—over 600 acres! Walking to class can be long, but you're never alone. Students walk together, chatting and sharing notes before the lectures begin.

  • The Learning: Classes usually start around 9:00 AM. Professors are helpful and act as both teachers and guides. The classes mix book knowledge with hands-on work in labs and projects.

☀️ Afternoon: Lunch and Practical Work

The middle of the day is for more serious study mixed with a break.

  • Lunch Time: The lunch break is about an hour. Students go to the UniMall or other food courts, which have lots of options for eating with friends.

  • Learning in Labs: The afternoon often means practical classes in the amazing, well-set-up labs. This is where students really learn by doing, especially for subjects like engineering.

  • Staying Sharp: Sometimes there are quick tests or presentations. While stressful, these activities help prepare students for their future careers.

πŸŒ™Evening : Fun, Events  and Friends

When classes finish around 4 or 5 P.M., the campus gets busy with social activities and events.

  • Non-Stop Events: LPU is famous for having exciting events almost every day. You can find band shows, contests, and even famous guests. Big events like 'One India' and 'One World' celebrate students from all over the world—LPU has students from over 70 countries!

  • Relaxation: Students play sports like football on the fields or just relax with coffee.

  • Late Night: The day ends with dinner, followed by study time. The huge Central Library is often full of students studying hard before exams. The best memories are made in the hostels—late-night Maggi or Pizza parties and celebrating birthdays.

YouthVibe: LPU's Ultimate Celebration of Talent and Campus Life

Welcome to the heart of the Lovely Professional University (LPU) campus experience! YouthVibe is much more than just a festival—it's the university's annual, five-day mega-event where the campus transforms into a vibrant hub of culture, competition, and community. It's an all-you-can-eat buffet of talent, learning, and unforgettable memories for every student, or "Verto," on campus.

Here is a breakdown of all the exciting things we do during the YouthVibe ceremony:

1. Cultural Extravaganza (Confera & Panache)

The stage is where YouthVibe truly shines, celebrating India’s rich diversity and global artistry.

  • Dance Competitions: From traditional routines like Virsa (Indian Folk Dance) and Nritya Natraj (Semi-classical) to high-energy Footloose (Western Group Dance) and Box Office (Bolly Style), the dance floor is electric.

  • Music Battles: Events like RapStar, Voice of Youth Vibe (Solo Singing), and various Group Singing competitions (Goonj, Legacy) provide a platform for vocal talent across all genres.

  • Theatre & Drama: Students showcase their acting prowess in Chaupal (Street Play/Nukkad Natak), delivering powerful social messages or just generating huge laughs with Skit competitions.

  • Lifestyle & Fashion: Events like Paridhan (The Fashion Show) and Mr. & Ms. Youth Vibe (Personality Hunt) allow students to showcase style, confidence, and charisma.

2. Mind, Tech, and Literary Challenges

YouthVibe is a festival for the brain just as much as it is for the soul, hosting a massive range of technical and literary challenges.

  • Technical Events: Tech enthusiasts dive into Master-o-Codes (Programming), Web Builder, Robo Football Mania, and Project Presentations, demonstrating innovation and technical skills.

  • Literary Arena: The air is thick with competition during the Youth Vibe Debate Championship, Elocution (public speaking), and specialized quizzes like Biz Victorina (Business Quiz) and the Y V Maha Quiz (General Knowledge).

  • Creative Media: Future filmmakers and photographers compete in Director's Cut (Short Film) and the Photography Championship, capturing the essence of campus life and storytelling.

3. Community and Social Summit

Beyond the stage and classrooms, YouthVibe focuses on social awareness and community building.

  • Youth Vibe Social Summit: This platform invites NGOs and social groups to present their work, fostering discussions on humanity and social impact.

  • Social Awareness Campaigns: The fest actively promotes causes through events like the Go Green Marathon, and campaigns encouraging blood donation and social responsibility.

Star Power and Inspiration

A major highlight of YouthVibe is the influx of star power. Renowned artists, celebrities, and Bollywood singers are frequently invited to perform live concerts, entertain, and inspire the audience, adding an element of grand excitement to the entire five-day celebration.

In short, YouthVibe is a holistic celebration that gives every LPU student a chance to learn, compete, network, and grow, defining the truly vibrant student life at a professional university.

My Star Moment: Dancing with Shehnaaz Gill at LPU's 'Ikk Kudi' Promotion!

Shehnaaz Gill is LPU’s pride. She graduated from here with a B.Com degree, and every time she visits, it feels like a genuine homecoming. She wasn't just a star on stage; she was 'our' star, reminiscing about her student days, talking about classes in Block 14, and how the university atmosphere fueled her dreams. It was a beautiful moment of a star reconnecting with her roots!

My Dream Performance on Stage!

The highlight of the entire event—for me, personally, a moment I will never forget—was the opportunity to perform a dance right there on the main stage! When Shehnaaz ma'am was interacting with the students and the music started, I got the chance to showcase my performance.

The feeling of dancing with her (or rather, performing in front of her and getting her amazing reaction) was surreal. Her infectious smile and vibrant energy filled the whole auditorium. I could feel the crowd's excitement—it was the moment of a lifetime for a student performer! Shehnaaz ma'am’s encouragement and genuine warmth are truly what set her apart.

Get Ready for 'Ikk Kudi' on October 31st!

The main reason for her visit was the promotion of her much-awaited Punjabi film, 'Ikk Kudi'. Shehnaaz gave us the inside scoop, sharing that the movie is a story close to her heart, revolving around a girl's journey to find the right life partner and the importance of self-worth.

She urged everyone to watch it, and trust me, with the enthusiasm she showed, we are all ready!

The film is set to release in cinemas worldwide on October 31st, and it promises to be a heartwarming mix of comedy and romance.

From being a student at LPU to launching and promoting her own film (she is also a producer on this movie!), Shehnaaz Gill continues to be an incredible inspiration for all of us. Her journey proves that the biggest stages often begin on the humble college grounds.

I'm still reeling from the performance! Catch you all at the theatres on October 31st!

🌦️ My Hyderabad Journey – Three Months of Internship New Beginnings

Life often surprises us with opportunities that take us far from home — and for me, that moment came when I got the chance to go to Hyderabad for my internship at COMPILE IT. It was both exciting and nerve-wracking, knowing I’d be living in a new city for three months, learning, exploring, and creating memories on my own.

The day I arrived, Hyderabad welcomed me with open arms and perfect weather. The air was warm but comforting, with clouds gently floating over the skyline. I had heard about Hyderabad’s busy life and spicy biryani, but what really stole my heart was the city’s weather — calm mornings, breezy evenings, and occasional drizzles that made everything look poetic.

I moved into a flat with my friends — our little home for the next three months. The place wasn’t fancy, but it was full of laughter, shared meals, late-night talks, and cozy evenings by the window watching the rain. After long internship hours, sitting on the balcony with a cup of tea while the cool wind brushed my face became my favorite routine.

Every morning, the city seemed alive — the soft sunlight shining through clouds, the aroma of food from nearby stalls, and the hustle of people heading to work. The weather often played tricks — bright one minute, cloudy the next — but it always carried a charm that made each day feel different.

My internship experience was as enriching as the city itself. The workplace taught me professionalism, teamwork, and time management, but beyond that, I learned about independence. Living away from home wasn’t always easy — managing cooking, travel, and responsibilities — yet it made me stronger and more confident. There were days when I felt tired after work, but one look at the Hyderabad skyline, glowing under golden clouds, and all the exhaustion disappeared.

Weekends were our escape — exploring Charminar, Hussain Sagar Lake, and the cafΓ©s around Banjara Hills. The city had a perfect mix of tradition and modern life. Every corner told a story — from the

historic charm of old Hyderabad to the fast-paced life of Hitech City. And through it all, the weather stayed wonderful, wrapping every outing in a layer of calm and beauty.

Some evenings were especially magical — when the sky turned orange and grey at the same time, and a light drizzle fell across the streets. Standing on our balcony during those moments, I often thought about how far I’d come — from a student dreaming of opportunities to someone actually living one.

These three months in Hyderabad weren’t just an internship; they were a journey of self-discovery. I learned how to balance work and life, how to find comfort in unfamiliar places, and how simple things — like clouds, rain, and tea with friends — can make the best memories.

As my internship comes to an end, I realize that Hyderabad gave me much more than experience — it gave me stories, strength, and serenity. The city’s weather mirrored my journey — sometimes bright, sometimes cloudy, but always full of hope and growth.

Exploring the Serenity of Himachal Pradesh: A Journey into the Hills

My trip to Himachal Pradesh was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the heart of the Himalayas, this beautiful state feels like a piece of heaven on earth. From the moment I entered the hills, I was surrounded by peace and natural beauty. The cool mountain breeze, the tall deodar trees, and the sight of snow-capped peaks filled me with a sense of calm that words can hardly describe.

My journey began in Shimla, the charming capital city known for its colonial architecture and vibrant Mall Road. Walking along the streets with a cup of hot coffee in hand, I watched the mist slowly rise over the hills. The toy train ride from Kalka to Shimla was another unforgettable experience — winding through tunnels, bridges, and green valleys, it felt like traveling through a postcard.

After Shimla, I continued my journey to Manali, a town that completely stole my heart. Surrounded by pine forests and the flowing Beas River, Manali had a perfect mix of adventure and peace. I visited Solang Valley, where I experienced the thrill of paragliding and played in the snow like a child. The cold breeze, laughter of travelers, and the sound of the river created memories I’ll cherish forever.

Evenings in Himachal were the most peaceful part of my trip. Sitting by a bonfire, sipping hot tea, and watching the stars sparkle in the clear sky felt like pure bliss. I also met some wonderful local people who shared their stories, traditions, and warmth with me. Their kindness made the trip even more special.

Traveling through Himachal Pradesh taught me to slow down and appreciate the beauty around me. The mountains have a way of making you feel small yet complete. Every moment — whether it was a quiet morning by the hills or a lively evening in a market — felt meaningful.

Himachal Pradesh is not just a destination; it’s a feeling of peace, freedom, and connection with nature. It’s the kind of place that stays in your heart long after you leave. πŸŒ„✨

Journey Back Home: Celebrating Diwali with Family

This Diwali was special because it was the time I returned from university to home to celebrate the festival with my family. The preparations began as soon as I started packing my luggage, with gifts, sweets, and a happy heart.

This Diwali, I made the journey from Phagwara to Ambala to celebrate the festival with my family. The travel was full of eagerness and enthusiasm as I bid farewell to the crowded university campus, eager to bask in the warmth of home, the light of diyas, and the smiles of loved ones. Each mile took me towards vibrant rangolis, sparkly lights, and the fragrance of scrumptious sweets awaiting me. The fact that I was at home and celebrating Diwali with them made the festival all the more special and memorable.

The ride from campus to home was an oscillation between nostalgia and expectation. As the bus/train glided across familiar landscapes, visions of previous year's celebrations and childhood Diwalis danced before my eyes. Each mile brought me nearer to the comfort of home, the scent of festive delicacies, and the light of diya burning bright.

Upon reaching home, the ambiance was lively—houses lit up with lights, vibrant rangolis at each entrance, and family members' laughter resonating in the house. I spent time with my family decorating the house, bursting crackers in the lawn, and indulging in yummy sweets. Being able to celebrate with my family, detached from the rigors of university life, made this Diwali one to be remembered.

This trip wasn't a trip from college to home; it was a trip back to my roots, culture, and the spirit of coming together. Celebrating Diwali with family made me realize how special these moments are, and how every attempt to come back home is worth the joy it offers.
